Valentine Mini Sessions

Crawfordville, FL

When I think about Valentine mini sessions, the first thing that comes to mind isn’t candy hearts or bright reds and pinks. What I imagine are soft, creamy tones and earthy colors that feel warm and natural (the kind of colors that don’t scream holiday but instead feel quiet and natural.)

And then I think about you. A mother watching her child grow. Noticing how fast time seems to slip by. Feeling that quiet pull in your chest when you realize you can never hold a moment still, but you can remember it.

That is what these sessions are for. They are a brief moment to pause and notice who your child is right now, exactly as they are.

I choose neutral tones and natural textures on purpose because I want the focus to be on your child and not the busy bright background. I want you to remember exactly how they tilt their head, how they look at you, the small details that will soon be forgotten. Most of all, I want these portraits to feel like them, not like a holiday theme..

That means the portraits you bring home aren’t just pictures from one day in February. They are portraits you can live with all year. I imagine them on a hallway wall, by your bed, or tucked into a small album that you open years from now and smile at quietly.

If you aren't familiar with mini sessions, they are shorter than a full portrait session. They move quickly but with purpose and usually last about ten to fifteen minutes. It’s just enough time to settle in, warm up, and capture those genuine moments before the meltdowns begin. They work beautifully for young children who may have big feelings or short attention spans.

When you arrive, the space is ready for you. I guide softly, but I also watch and follow your child’s lead. Some of the sweetest photographs are the ones that happen when kids forget the camera is there. Those moments feel honest, and they stay with you.

After our time together, you’ll receive a small gallery of beautifully retouched images. These will be the ones that best reflect your child’s personality and the feeling of the time we shared. You’ll choose the images you love most, and from there I can help you with prints or digital files, whatever feels right for your home and heart.

If you are in Crawfordville, Florida and considering a Valentine mini session for your child, you can expect an experience that feels calm, simple, and genuine.

And if you happen to find this after Valentine’s Day has passed, that’s okay. The same approach carries through all of my work with children throughout the year. These minis are just one way to remember your child a little more deeply.

When Valentine mini sessions are open, you’ll find the details on my homepage or booking page. If they aren’t open, other seasonal minis with the same feeling may be available as the year moves along.

If you have questions or want to talk through whether a mini session might feel right, you can always reach out. I’m here to make it feel easy and comforting, one step at a time.
